2006 - i-TEC began their journey

i- TEC was established in April 2006, based on multiple patented completion and intervention technology innovations. From the start – the i-TEC identity included early phase customer inclusion during the concept and engineering phase as well as a rigid focus on optimalising the project timeline from idea to finished prototype.

In April 2008 – the i-TEC presence in Aberdeen, UK was inaugurated, followed by opening a sales office in Houston US, in July the same year. Simultaneously – the business underwent NS-EN ISO 9001:2000 qualification and Achilles qualification, resulting in fully certified status April 2008 and May 2008 respectively. i-TEC moved into  new facilities at Kanalveien 8, Forus Stavanger in June 2008.  At the start of 2009, i-TEC merged with PetroTools As and Artic AS – resulting in additional intervention- and smart well system capabilities and solutions within the i-TEC organisation.

The i-TEC identity has from the start been to include the end user in the development phase of new technology as early as possible, and to optimalise the project timeline from idea to finished prototype. Within a relatively short period of existence, i-TEC has built up a comprehensive portfolio of completion solutions, as well as kept on plan with the ongoing longer term development projects. 

Presently, the i-TEC organisation is made up of 40 devoted and talented professionals – all working towards the goal of continuously bringing new innovative technology solutions to the international upstream oil & gas markets.
